Great hotel with its beach access, outdoor swimming pool, and excellent dining options. The staff was helpful with directions during my first visit. I always come back for a city break!

private reef, beautiful beach areas, excellent diving center
The pre-arrival communication was unnecessarily convoluted!!! Spa services could use more variety, and the evening entertainment was monotonous with the same singer performing nightly!!! Dining options felt repetitive after a few days!!!

Snorkeling around the beautiful reef was a highlight, with plenty of marine life to see. Food quality was disappointing. it felt cafeteria-style. Lots of water sport facilities available, perfect for keeping busy. Not enough attention to guests' needs at times caused frustration. Overall, a decent vacation spot with amazing beach access.

The service from our waiter Ibrehim was exceptional and truly made our stay memorable.
The domestic flight arrangements from Malé were poorly organized, making the last leg of our journey feel exhausting.

The location of Royal Island is stunning. Direct beach access with beautiful white sands right outside the room. Each morning, I woke up to the sound of waves, which was incredibly calming. The staff made me feel at home. Special shoutout to Nazeer, my waiter, who always had a smile and offered excellent service. The buffet food offered plenty of variety and featured different themes each night, making dinner exciting. I loved the vegan options available. The outdoor shower in my Beach Villa was a unique touch. On the downside, the villas could use some updates. The decor felt a bit dated and dark. The amenities were minimal, with just nuts and Pringles in the mini-bar, and there were some restrictions around bringing food outside the buffet area. Also, I encountered some mosquitoes during my stay. Despite the minor inconveniences, the overall vibe of the place was relaxing and enjoyable.

Strongly recommend for a momentary pause
Amazing staff, amazing environment, truly made our stay enjoyable with friendly service and a plethora of activities including snorkeling just off the beach. Easy access via speedboat from the airport shuttle.
Can’t think of anything.

The resort is stunning, with friendly staff and excellent snorkeling opportunities. While the food at the buffet was diverse, it could use more variety for a five-star resort. Be prepared for high prices on drinks and some romantic dinners, which can be a letdown.

We had an amazing week staying in a Sunset Beach Villa with plenty of space for the kids, and the full-body massage at the spa was just what we needed to unwind. The beach access was perfect for family fun, and we loved exploring the island's unique wildlife, from bats to tiny crabs. The only small downside was the cost of some excursions, which felt a bit pricey compared to other places we've visited, but overall, it was a fantastic getaway! 🏖️

Family with children paradise
Our stay was lovely. We were greeted by warm staff, especially Sonia and August, they took care of our every need. The kids loved the beach and the endless options at the buffet-everything was so good it felt like a feast every meal.
It wasn’t exactly cheap but you know, it was still worth it.

Beach vibes and good food
We had an awesome time chilling in the beach villa! The staff was super nice and they had a WhatsApp service for any issues, like fixing our lizard problem in the bathroom. The main restaurant had really great food, especially the show cooking at breakfast where you can get fresh eggs made. Only downside was the service was a bit slow at the bars.

great stay , but room for improvement
The upgrade to a Sunset Beach Villa with a pool was a delightful surprise. The selection of activities provided a fun and engaging way to explore the island.
The Jacuzzi didn't operate properly.
